Two thoughts:

Inflation vs wages

Inflation is something I see monthly

Even when I get a raise “Yay Boss” it’s an annual thing.

Trump-cut

If US does end up getting a 20% cut (unlikely) of cargo through Strait, regardless of who pays initial fees

Won’t that all fall on consumers eventually?

I can’t see big oil or fertilizer not passing along those costs

Spot on, which is why Trump’s 20% tariff idea lasted only one day 🙄

And the Orange Buffoon wants US companies to "eat" those costs. What fantasy universe is he stuck in? Is this what they taught him at Wharton?
